I have been around Xi’an for about three years now, I actually came here as a simple (and broke) traveler. I intended to stay for three months and move on…though I do travel outside of the city quite often Xi’an is my home and I want to make people feel comfortable in my home.  When we came up with the idea of xianease.com it was to make a community portal, too often I hear how wonderful Xi’an is but that there is just not enough to do or the foreign community isn’t “together” enough…well this site is to remedy that, and though we may have built the boat it’s all of us that sail it, so I hope that as time goes on my name become less and less frequent on the site and yours more prevalent.

Three years I ago, I stopped for a short break and fell in love with a city unlike one I have ever known, to this day I find new areas, shops, restaurants, and activities that make me fall in love over and over again. This site starts with my Xi’an and what I’ve discovered, but I hope the next chapter is yours and one by one all of our “Xi’an’s” will be laid out here for those that are here, those that have not yet arrived, and those that don’t even know they are on their way.
