The Ritz-Carlton, Xi`an is delighted to announce the appointment of Mr. Mauro Zanusso as the Executive Chef, he will be fully in charge of the operation and management of the hotel culinary team.
Mr. Mauro Zanusso is from Italy and has over 20 years of kitchen operation and management experience in the international hospitality industry. With rich experience at a vast range of international locations, Chef Mauro brings expertise refined from London, Italy, India, Brazil, Egypt, Japan and United States. He joins The Ritz-Carlton Xi`an from his prior role as Executive Chef at St. Regis Hotel, Shenzhen. He was awarded the honor of “Best Dish” at the Palm Beach Food & Wine Festival in 2014, and served as a Guest Chef at the gala event of Starwood Preferred Guests in Tokyo 2018.
“After three fulfilling years in Shenzhen, where I started to discover the wonderful Chinese tradition, I am now very excited this new journey in Xi’an. My goal is to elevate the culinary offerings of the hotel, create unique times for our guests, while being able to bond with the local tradition and produce mystique experiences. I am looking forward to discover all the tantalizing moment Xi’an and Shaanxi have to offer and immerse in the oldest Chinese tradition and culture.” — After join The Ritz-Carlton Xi’an, Mauro will lead the hotel’s elite culinary team to be fully responsible for the daily operation of all five restaurants and bar of The Ritz-Carlton, Xi’an, he will inject the new concepts into hotel restaurants’ production and kitchen management with professional skills and craftsmanship, and lead the culinary team to create memorable dining experiences for the guests.
